“In my experience one person always needs the other more”
A bedsit. A young woman in trouble. A bridge. A missing teenager – and parents searching for answers. Struggling to cope with the disappearance of their teenage daughter, Tom and Gill’s marriage is left in tatters. In an attempt to numb his pain, Tom makes a decision that has an irrecoverable and unexpected impact on their lives and the lives of those closest to them.
After a critically acclaimed run at Park Theatre, this thrilling contemporary play returns to the stage. Spiral explores the human need to cling to another person, no matter what the cost. What happens when trust breaks down? Can other people save us? Or must we save ourselves?
CONGRATULATIONS TO JASPER JACOB
Post show Q&A – 17 August – with Sarah Allan & Deidre Maher
Sarah Allan has been a volunteer at the Missing People Charity for over 14 years. Sarah has worked closely with families of loved ones who are missing and is able to articulate with compassion and sensitivity, the experiences of these families.
Deidre heads up the family support department at the charity and will look forward to answering any questions and myths about missing people.
A person is reported missing every 90 seconds in the UK. Missing People is the only charity in the UK which is dedicated to bringing the 176,000 children and adults that go missing every year back together with their families. Some missing people you will have heard of, but many more you won’t. For their families, life without them can be a desperate and unbearable struggle. We are there for them every day of the year, at the end of a phone, text or email, ready to use every means possible to search for and find their missing loved ones and to provide vital on-going support to families where the agonising wait turns into years, not just days.
You can call or text 116 000 for advice, support and options if you, or someone you love, goes missing or runs away – it’s free and confidential.
If you would like to support the charity, please donate via our website at http://WWW.missingpeople.org.uk/donate
