Vladimir Nabokov hailed The Lady with the Dog as one of literature’s finest short stories. It has been adapted by Joyce Carol Oates and dramatised by Brian Friel.
Olivier Award winner Dame Penelope Wilton reads Chekhov, accompanied by live accordion music. Wilton is well-known for Downton Abbey, The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel and After Life, alongside a host of stage work that has garnered a further six Olivier Award nominations.
