Overview

“Every city in America used to be the most beautiful city in America”

Set in a crumbling Baltimore hotel, The Hot L Baltimore brings together a community of misfits and dreamers. As demolition looms, residents cling to humour, hope and one another, revealing small acts of kindness and quiet resilience inside a city that feels forgotten. In their fragile refuge, lives collide and unexpected solidarity begins to bloom.

Written by Lanford Wilson, this poignant American classic is performed by the graduating three-year actors of the Oxford School of Drama. Their final public performance before graduation brings raw immediacy and urgency to this tender portrait of community on the brink of change.
