Join us for an evening of sparkling conversation as we raise a glass to celebrate the 90th birthday of the legendary Dame Siân Phillips. Richard Digby Day joins Siân onstage to reflect on her long and illustrious career spanning eight decades. Hear stories from her many roles across stage and screen including her BAFTA award-winning Livia in I, Claudius, and her Olivier-nominated performance as Fraulein Schneider in Cabaret.

Performer
Siân won a BAFTA for her role in the BBC’s 1976 adaptation of I, Claudius. She has performed the titular roles in Ibsen's Hedda Gabler and George Bernard Shaw's Saint Joan. She was appointed a Dame Commander of the Order of the British Empire (DBE) in the 2016 New Year Honours for services to drama. She was recently seen at JST in Richard Beecham's 5-star production of Beckett’s Rockaby & Footfalls.

Richard is a theatre director and international professor and lecturer. He was formerly the Artistic Director of five UK theatres including York Theatre Royal and Nottingham Playhouse. He is best known for his work in classical theatre which has appeared in the West End and internationally.
