Overview
“But why, do you say, that I am mad?”
This Halloween weekend, One Man Poe brings four of Edgar Allan Poe’s most chilling masterpieces to the West End in one extraordinary theatrical event. In a virtuosic solo performance, Stephen Smith conjures murder, madness and the macabre through The Tell-Tale Heart, The Pit and the Pendulum, The Black Cat and The Raven. As the clock ticks, narrators unravel before your eyes in a haunting descent into fear, guilt and obsession.
Internationally acclaimed, with sell-out performances across the UK and at Edinburgh Fringe, winning the Spookies Award for Best Horror Solo Show and The Derek Award for Best Overall Show, One Man Poe uses Poe’s original 1840s texts to create a gripping evening of gothic theatre. “The quintessential stage adaptation” of Poe’s work.
