Joyce Grenfell was one of the greatest female entertainers of the twentieth century, loved the world over for her hilarious and beautifully observed monologues and songs, as well as numerous film, television and radio appearances. Ode To Joyce weaves the well-known songs and monologues between delicate and poignant pieces, as well as some rare and exclusive material. Truly a labour of love, this show brings back to life an extraordinary entertainer.
First conceived in honour of her centenary year and playing to sell-out audiences at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, this revue has been delighting audiences ever since. Cheryl Knight returns to perform this gem of nostalgia. Co-produced with Apollo Theatre Company.

Cheryl created ‘Ode to Joyce’ to celebrate Joyce's centenary year. Her previous work includes Miss Santiago in ‘Buddy’, various roles in the tour of ‘Spend, Spend, Spend’, Thaisa in James Roose Evans’ production of ‘Pericles’, and numerous television commercials.

As an actor musician Paul has appeared in 42nd Street, Forbidden Broadway, Call Me Merman, Adorable Dora, Grimsley and Tibbs, Champagne Charlie, A Tale of Cock and Bull, and many other theatre productions. Paul is co adapter and director of Ode to Joyce, and is at present creating a fusion opera for the Pakistani singer Saira Peter. As an educator Paul has worked with Birds College, Drama Studio London, GDSM, Arts Ed Fordham University and the NYMT. His vocal book ‘Sing' is sold worldwide. He is a tutor at the Arts University Bournemouth.
