Overview
“Sat in a café reading Villon. In Paris. In English. What a cliché.”
Henry Wicks is here to talk about his new book. An erudite scholar with effortless French, where does his fascination with a 15th century poet come from? And what happens when books live on in the heart, as well as the mind? Henry’s story of poetry, romance and reading takes us back to a long-lost summer in Paris.
DHW Mildon is a bilingual playwright whose work has appeared on three continents. Simon Evans is the co-creator and director of BBC1’s Staged starring David Tennant and Michael Sheen, and has directed plays for the Old Vic and Donmar Warehouse. Co-presented by Sarah Lawrie in association with Small Things Theatre.
