Overview
“Can you imagine being terrified of your own happiness? You can? Then let’s begin…”
Frankie Howerd was one of Britain’s most loved comedians for half a century. But he had a secret. And the secret’s name was Dennis. Howerd’s innovative, stumbling, and non-conformist style earned him a legacy of “one of Britain’s best-loved comedians.”
Mark Farrelly explores not only the development of Howerd onstage, but the offstage love story of the comic and Dennis Heymer – friends and lovers that tried to overcome all odds for forty-years.
