Music in Mind

Giving a Voice to Dementia

By John McHugh

Hidden Voice takes us on an emotional and uplifting experience that takes us into the hidden world behind dementia.

John McHugh and the musicians from the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra bring their acclaimed multimedia performance based on the beautiful melodies from the speech of those affected by dementia to Jermyn Street Theatre as part of their national tour.

In Hidden Voice the lyrics and melodies of everyday life are transformed into a deeply moving performance that will change your perceptions of dementia forever.
The event is part of the Hidden Voice national project in partnership with the Alzheimer’s Society and arts organisations throughout Britain.

“Utterly stunning! Few things leave me speechless but brought my mum back to me. When conversation is elusive or absent, music endures.”
Duncan Jones . Board of Trustees of TheAlzheimer’s Society.
